1)  Applicants must meet the qualification as specified in 2005 Khon Kaen University Regulations of Graduate Student Level, Section 5, Article 26.2 or as specified in its latest revised version; and

2) Obtain a Bachelor Degree of Science in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Environmental Science, Agriculture, Biological Science, and/or Biotechnology, or equivalent related programs such as Bachelor of Education with satisfied basic knowledge. For Type A 1, applicants must obtain a minimum 3.00 GPA or at least one peer-reviewed scientific paper published in national journals, or at least three years work experience in research, or admission approval from the Curriculum Administrative Committee; and

3)  Applicants from a country where English is not the first language must enclose English Proficiency test result. The result must not be more than two years. The following English proficiency tests are accepted for graduate admission, and a minimum score should be as follows:
