  On August, 24th 2015, The Faculty of Science, Khon Kaen University extended the warm welcome to Prof. Tadanori Aimi and Asst. Prof. Dr. Shuji Ushijima and 15 students from Tottori University, Japan for attending the short-course exchange program at the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science, KKU during August 24th to August 31st 2015. For this visiting, Assoc.Prof. Sophon Boonlue from Microbiology Department gave a very great support to the guests starting with welcome at the airport and led them to the Faculty. At the Faculty of Science, Asst. Prof. Khemika Lomthaisong, (Associate dean for Academic Affairs) expressed her cordial welcome speech to all lecturers and students at the Meeting Room 1, Dean Office, Building SC06.   Moreover, Miss Jariya Sa-ngounrat and Miss Phakawadee Chaisiri, the international relation officers from International Relation Division, KKU, gave some important information about living in KKU and Khon Kaen province to all delegations.   In addition, the students are going to study about mushroom in the northeast of Thailand and attend to learn special courses from the Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Technology as well.

  On July 23rd , 2015 The Faculty of Science, Khon Kaen University warmly welcomes Prof.Nitin Kumar Tripathi (School of Engineering and Technology) and Dr.S. Balasubramanian(Dean of Faculty of Life Science, JSS University) from, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). In this event, Asst. Prof. Dr. Somkiat Srijaranai, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Asst. Prof. Dr. Chaiwat Raksakulphiwat, Associate Dean for Research and International Relations as well as Asst. Prof. Dr. Sarun Keithmaleesatti, Head of Department of Environmental Science and Asst. Prof. Dr. Pisit Charoensudjai from Department of Environmental Science joined welcoming the guests and also discuss about development in further academic cooperation at Meeting room 1, Dean Office of the Faculty of Science.

  On July 16, 2015 The Faculty of Science, KKU welcomed Assoc. Prof. Jim Cross, Associate Dean (International), Faculty of Health, Engineering, and Science, Edith Cowan University, Australiaat Dean Office, 1st floor SC.6, Faculty of Science. He met with Asst. Prof. Dr. Somkiat Srijaranai, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Asst. Prof. Dr. Chaiwat Raksakulphiwat, Associate Dean for Research and International Relations Asst. Prof. Dr. Sarun Keithmaleesatti, Head of Department of Environmental Science, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pisit Charoensudjai, Department of Environmental Science, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyada Theerakulpisut, Department of Biology, Asst. Prof. Dr. Adcharaporn Pagdee, Department of Environmental Science, Asst. Prof. Dr. Wararat Songpan , Department of Computer Science The meeting was about the opportunity of collaboration for exchanging students between ECU and KKU. Assoc. Prof. Jim looks forward to send students for studying and also conducting research together, since the faculty of Science has international programs in related fields.                 However, in this November, there is a group of students from ECU visiting KKU for 2 weeks and also have some activities with the Faculty of Science. These are the great news that the collaboration between two universities will begin soon.

On November 10th, 2015, Asst. Prof. Dr. Somkiat Srijaranai, Dean of Faculty of Science, Khon Kaen University and the alumni of University of College Cork and Trinity College Dublin gave the warm welcome to Dr. Gearoid McCarthy, Development Manager of University of College Cork, Ireland. Dr. Gearoid McCarthy visited the faculty of Science and the alumni of Ireland for consulting about the developments of universities . The developments of universities  include research cooperation, research development and the development of staffs and students.
